“Frankly, I would never expect to win anything at the 2026 Interact Conference. Never crossed my mind that my paper which I presented at the said conference would win a top award,” said Secretary General of the World Youth Foundation, Adjunct Prof. Dato’ Norsabrina binti Mohd Noor. “I was invited by the organisers and I had prepared a paper focusing on STEM and its future impact and implications to education. I was looking forward to attend and present my paper at the conference in Bangkok, Thailand. Unbeknownst to me that the organisers had lined up a series of awards for paper presenters,” revealed Dato’ Norsabrina to WYF special correspondent Bahar Aziz.
Heartiest congratulations!! to Dato’ Norsabrina for winning the Gold Award at the recent 2026 INTERACT (International Conference on Teaching, Research, Administration, Leadership & Creative Transformation) Event held in Bangkok, Thailand at the end of January, 2026. The annual conference was organised by the Malaysia Young Scientists Organisation (MYSO) in collaboration with the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University of Thailand. Her paper entitled The Effectiveness of Practical STEM based Approaches in Enhancing Life Science Learning Outcomes Among TVET Students: Evidences from X Institution not only won the attention and accolades of the panel of evaluators of the said Conference but the attendees as well.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics while TVET stands for Technical and Vocational Education and Training. Her presentation also garnered the Global Educator Prize awarded in recognition of professional excellence, thought leadership, and dedication to driving positive change in education and organisational development.
Dato’ Norsabrina dedicates the Gold Award to the World Youth Foundation (WYF), particularly its Chairman, Datuk Mohd. Ridhwan bin Mohd. Ali, for giving her the encouragement and leeway to conduct a study and eventually present her paper on Assessing the Effectiveness of Practical STEM Approaches in Improving Life Science Learning Outcomes. She also would like to express her sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Harith Jamlus, her Ph.D dissertation supervisor as well as her top-notch research team at UNIMAP (Universiti Malaysia, Perlis).
